Are you about to graduate, recently graduated, or looking to kick-start your career in consultancy, process improvement, and digital transformation?
At Floorganise, we help leading shipyards across Europe improve the way they build ships through process optimisation, digitalisation, and our Shipyard-MES platform, Floor2Plan.
Through the Floorganise Academy, you will follow a structured traineeship designed to develop you into a fully independent Process Engineer Consultant. Over the course of your first year, you’ll learn directly from experienced consultants, work with real customers, visit shipyards, and gradually take ownership of your own assignments.
This is not a classroom traineeship. From day one, you’ll be part of our team and involved in real projects that shape the future of shipbuilding.
What Will You Do?
As part of the Academy, you’ll:
- Visit shipyards across the Netherlands and Europe
- Analyse operational processes
- Support digital transformation initiatives
- Help customers improve productivity and planning performance
- Participate in workshops and process reviews
- Translate operational challenges into structured requirements
- Assist with software implementations
- Collaborate with other consultants, project managers, and software specialists
- Learn how to become a trusted advisor for our customers
Your Development Journey
Phase 1 – Learning & Observing the Industry. You build a strong foundation in shipbuilding, Production and Planning processes, and our Software Floor2Plan. You’ll shadow experienced consultants and participate in internal workshops and customer demonstrations.
Months 1
Phase 2 – Contributing to the Customer. You’ll begin contributing to customer projects by joining shipyard visits, supporting workshops and Demos, and gathering requirements. You’ll start facilitating parts of meetings and interacting directly with customers.
Months 2-3
Phase 3 – Coordinating and Driving Improvements: Your contribution becomes increasingly independent. You´ll take a more active role in Process analysis, improvement recommendations, Demos, workshops, and stakeholder management.
Months 4-5
Phase 4 – Lead Your First Assignment: You will start incorporating full ownership in your work. Among others, you will start owning small consultancy workstreams, lead customer discussions, perform operations analyses, and implementations.
Months 6-12
By the end of the program, you’ll be ready to operate as a Junior Process Engineer Consultant.
Who Are We Looking For?
You do not need years of experience.
We are primarily looking for curiosity, ambition, and the willingness to learn.
You may have a Bachelor´s Degree: Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Technical Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Shipbuilding, Operations Management, or a related technical/business discipline.
Most important: you hold a Floorganise Mindset: an attitude that reflects ownership, curiosity, ambition, but also high engagement and fun.
