Kinderdijk/Zwolle, October 9th 2025 – Royal IHC and Floorganise B.V. have expanded their partnership to establish the conditions for digital supply chain collaboration within the Dutch shipbuilding industry. The collaboration aligns with the Dutch Maritime Masterplan and contributes to accelerating the national fleet renewal.

With Floorganise as technology partner and the deployment of the Floor2Plan Shipyard MES, digital collaboration with partners in the supply chain is structurally facilitated. The platform provides real-time insight into running work, technical progress, and process control, forming the foundation for project and production management across the entire chain.

“The delivery time of complex systems — that’s where Royal IHC stands out. The quality of our process organization is crucial. With more insight and data from our supply chain, we’re taking the next step,” says Derk te Bokkel.

Digital supply chain collaboration as an accelerator

Dutch shipbuilding operates within a broad ecosystem of design, engineering, suppliers, and production sites. By connecting planning, execution, and progress data into one chain-wide source of truth, actionable insights emerge that shorten lead times, reduce failure costs, and optimize capacity utilization.

Strategic alignment with the Dutch Maritime Masterplan

The collaboration fits within the ambitions of the Dutch Maritime Masterplan, including strengthening national shipbuilding capacity through digital collaboration platforms. By structurally embedding process innovation and data-driven operations, increased productivity becomes a chain-wide achievement rather than a local optimization.

Ronald de Vries summarizes:

“Shipbuilding has unique characteristics that must be acknowledged in process innovation. Our team has the knowledge, technology, and ambition to push boundaries together with Royal IHC. Fleet renewal and the Maritime Masterplan demand both speed and predictability — that’s exactly where Floor2Plan and digital supply chain collaboration add value.”
