We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented software test engineer to join our dynamic team at Floorganise. As a software test engineer for Floor2plan Shipyard-MES, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Functions and responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development and product teams to create comprehensive test plans based on project requirements.
- Test Execution: Execute manual and automated test cases to identify software defects, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
- Defect Reporting: Document and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to validate that software changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Test Automation: Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and ensure effective communication throughout the development lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality assurance process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with the maritime or shipyard industry is a plus.
